Brown says Sunderland need fans at their best for Norwich trip

Sunderland
defender Wes Brown says they need the fans at their best for the trip to Norwich City.
Sunderland
supporters booed at the final whistle of Saturday's 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace.
Brown said: "I'm not absolutely sure why we seem to play better away from home. We have managed to score goals away and it has been totally different at home. Maybe some of the pressure is off, I don't know.
"Maybe the home fans are getting in to their team and we are just playing. Hopefully we can take that in to next week. The fans are great away from home and they do help us.
"I remember the Fulham
game, when all of the fans travelled down, they were brilliant. Believe me it helps. If we were playing really terrible, I could understand it. We just need to start getting points on the board. We are going to keep on trying, just as hard as the fans are.
"We are trying to play the best football we can. The fans have been great for us this season so we have to start winning for them. We tried our best and I hope they saw that. We just need to get points on the board."

Two Premier League clubs working with DNA profile company

Two Premier League clubs are working with a personal genetics company to provide DNA profiles of their players.
The Daily Mail says the two clubs have commissioned genetic profiles of their players to identify their strengths and potential weaknesses.
The clubs signed a deal this season with a personal genetics company to provide DNA profiles of both senior and academy players.
The profiles, obtained via a simple mouth swab, disclose the players' balance of speed and endurance genes, whether they have injury-prone genes and the best nutrition to fit their DNA.
The company, DNAFit, is also working with a leading European team but insists all three clubs' identities must remain confidential.

Poyet said: "People will ask why Giaccherini wasnᄀᆵt even on the bench, an Italian international and I know, it hurts. And I need him. Maybe he doesnᄀᆵt believe me, but I need him.
"If Fletch is not available for next week then maybe we will need Giacchi there and then he needs to help us and Iᄀᆵm sure he will because heᄀᆵs a great professional. He will be because he will probably think it was an opportunity lost for him, but we will need everybody."
